Dhanushkodi is located at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the Tamil Nadu state of India.
This region was previously devastated by a cyclone, almost nothing was left in this area. so it's also known as "Ghost Town".The destroyed house, temples and churches are the main attraction on Dhanushkodi village.
How to go Dhanuskodi Beach:
There are frequent govt buses from Rameshwaram temple till dhanushkodi bus stop. From dhanushkodi bus stop , you can hire a jeep or van to reach dhanushkodi village as here is no road , The path is fully covered with sand. Vans available at that check point, They charge Rs 150 Per head for up and down travel, but they'll not take you to the end point , they will go to till dhanushkodi village. If you really want to see last 'Sangam' point, then opt for Jeep directly form Rameswaram town, they will charging 1300-1600 for the round trip.
After reaching there ,will see white sand, Birds ,cool Wind, clean calm blue Sea, water on both side of land, some old structures, houses or huts of Local fishermens etc.
Thanks..
