Our Munnar trip Finally happened. Even though it was a sudden decision we were all packed up and ready to move by Friday night. Munnar is about 582 kms from Chennai by shortest distance. We started from Chennai at 9 PM on Friday. The drive was excellent as we took Chennai Theni Highway.

About Munnar : Munnar is a beautiful town and hill station located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. It is situated at around 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above sea level in the Western Ghats range of mountains. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India - Anamudi, which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking.
Munnar is known for its tea plantations and the Lovely green hills, Rose Garden, Echo Point, waterfall, and the beautiful lake.
